This year, we’re celebrating Forests on the Wild Side—honoring all the furry, feathered, and finned creatures that call our forests, “home.” With the discovery of wolves in California after a century of absence to the conservation of forest habitat for Pacific fishers, northern spotted owls, and other threatened and endangered species, we have much to celebrate!
Our keynote speaker, featured at this year’s Forest Fete, is Carter Niemeyer, a Wolf Biologist and Author. For 30 years, Carter has specialized in gray wolf management and recovery. While he began his career trapping and controlling large predators, he later led the wolf recovery program in Idaho and helped reintroduce Wolves in Yellowstone National Park.
Recognition will also be given to State Assemblymember, Richard Bloom, our Outside-The-Box Honoree for strong advocacy of sustainability and climate change policy.
Learn more and be sure to buy your tickets for Forest Fete, where you can join over 200 inspirational leaders in forestry, academia, climate action, water policy, philanthropy, and environmental advocacy in support of sustaining America’s forests and the work we do to conserve and manage them for wood, water, wildlife, and a healthy climate.
It’s not too late if you’d like to sponsor Forest Fete. Contact Neil Larsen for more information, nlarsen@pacificforest.org or 415-561-0700 x32.
