“Nature-Based Climate Credits (NBCCs) are state-backed credits that increase carbon sequestration while restoring and conserving nature, providing biodiversity, clean water, and climate adaptation and resilience benefits.

Including nature based climate credits as an alternative mechanism in the renewal of  California cap-and-trade/invest system accelerates the scale and pace of real carbon reductions while reducing costs and expanding public benefits.

I urge you to support this priority in the renewal of the cap-and-trade/invest system.”
