Yes on Proposition 68
California’s Prop 68 Passes

Proposition 68, which passed with more than 2 million yes votes on June 5, 2018, will invest $4 billion to address California’s most important water, open space, and natural resource needs.

More information on Prop 68:

Prop 68 will fund a number of PFT’s priorities at the state level:

  • $50 million for forest restoration, fire protection, and management for wildfire and climate change
  • $30 million for establishing permanently protected wildlife corridors
  • $290 million for regional water sustainability, including $50 million for groundwater sustainability planning
  • $60 million for upper watersheds protection in the Sierra Nevada and Cascades

Prop 68 will also keep toxic pollutants out of our water supplies, clean up groundwater, and protect land around the rivers, lakes, and streams that make up California’s watersheds. It will help California deal with the more frequent and severe droughts and wildfires that accompany a changing climate, as well as provide safe parks throughout the state.
